The Literaturhaus has been located in the newly constructed building of the Old City Library from 1825 since 2005 – that’s how long the beautiful building on the banks of the Main has been a place of literature.
Picture book afternoons and children’s book readings are held here for children. Listen to stories, lounge on cushions, look at pictures. Sing songs, draw monsters, puzzle along and join in. Rocking, whistling and dancing. All this is available for children from the age of 3 and their parents. For the Children’s Book Sundays, Literaturhaus Frankfurt invites authors, illustrators and children’s songwriters.
Young people aged 12 and over are invited to the “writing room” once a year – here you will learn from professional authors how to find your own writing style.
