The giant sequoias in Northern California (U.S.A.) can reach a size and age that takes the human power of imagination to its very limits. They can grow higher than a ten-storey building and live to be more than three thousand years old! In the exciting virtual-reality artwork in the exhibition “The Intelligence of Plants” at the Frankfurter Kunstverein, you become part of this tree. Put on the VR glasses and change your perspective to follow a drop of water on its way into the soil, from there into the roots, and ultimately to the treetop. In other words, immerse yourself in the fantastical realm of trees. And there’s also lots more to discover in the exhibition.
