By young people for young people: in suspenseful presentations, children and teens introduce themes and objects of the exhibition at the DFF – Deutsches Filmmuseum & Filminstitut, or German Film Museum and Film Institute. In the process, we get wise to Darth Vader and his tricks, pester an alien, and learn that a little miracle drum of 1834 can generate moving pictures and isn’t really all that different from a cell phone. And we see how a mask can change not only a face but the entire person behind it. The DFF – Deutsches Filmmuseum & Filminstitut brings cinema and film history to life in its exhibitions. A cinema forms the museum’s core, and ordinarily shows films for young people every Friday and Sunday afternoon. For as long as the programme is cancelled due to COVID-19, you can learn more about the museum in these short videos.
