The traveling museum 2025

Between March 12 and 26, 2025, these museums will be traveling through Frankfurt again: the Museum of Communication Frankfurt, the Senckenberg Nature Museum, the DFF – German Film Institute and Film Museum, the Young Museum Frankfurt, the Institute of City History, the Archaeological Museum Frankfurt, the German Architecture Museum Frankfurt and the Weltkulturenmuseum.

You can visit the museums in these district libraries: Gallus, Griesheim, Nieder-Eschbach, Niederrad, Rödelheim, Sindlingen, Sossenheim and Schwanheim.

In the workshops, everyone between the ages of six and eleven can examine objects under stereo microscopes, decipher hieroglyphics, experience stories in their own light theater, design children’s rights on a printing press, write with pen and ink, play ancient Roman games, design the city of the future and tell their own stories with a “magic lantern”.

Anyone who has taken part in a museum workshop in their local library will be invited back to the museum with the whole family a few days later. Together with museum staff, you can explore collections, archives or workshops.

We are particularly happy to receive registrations from children who have not yet visited these museums and can use the free KUFTI. Registration is only possible for a double date.
