With over 3,000 works on around 1,600 m² of floor space the Liebieghaus, located centrally on the banks of the River Main, is one of the most important sculpture museums world-wide. The diverse collection comprises exceptional sculptures from ancient Egypt to the Classicist era: With art works from the ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman periods, the Middle Ages and Renaissance, Mannerism, Baroque and Rococo, Classicism as well as East Asia, it offers a substantiated overview of 5,000 years of sculpture history.
